Prospot aims to be the preferred supplier of resistance welding products to industry by providing cost effective solutions to our customers from initial enquiry to quality after sales service.
Prospot has the ability to design and manufacture specialised welding systems enhanced by a comprehensive range of quality standard machines, spares, after sales service and training.
Prospot Ltd was established in 1997 manufacturing and supplying an extensive range resistance welding products and have since grown to now occupy a 16000 sq. foot factory in the heart of the UK . We currently employ 39 skilled and experienced personnel using the latest technologies including CNC Equipment.
In 2001 Prospot bought Hirst, Holden & Hunt Resistance Welding which was an amalgamation of different companies.
Hirst was formally known as Hirst Electrical Industries or Hirst Electrical Developments and were originally based in Crawley, West Sussex, as part of the B.O.C. Group manufacturing a range of resistance welding machines. This company had been acquired in 1977.
Holden and Hunt were a long established manufacturer and a forerunner of resistance welding machines, originally based in Warley, West Midlands.
Slee group of companies went into liquidation and HHHRWL acquired their range of microspot and bench mounted welding systems in 1989.
Langley Welding Electrode manufactured a range of standard electrodes and special purpose electrodes and were acquired in1987.
In 2003 Prospot acquired Meritus, one of the oldest British manufacturers of resistance welding machines having commenced production in 1932 in east End Road , London , building rocker arm type spot welders. Meritus has manufactured and supplied over 29000 machines across a wide and diverse range of applications and industries.
Through bringing all these brands together, Prospot are now the leading manufacturer & supplier of resistance welding equipment and machines with products including spot welding electrodes, projection welding electrodes, electrodes, seam welding wheels, electrode holders, arms & adapters, ceramic location pins, electrode tip pressers, weld test equipment, on-site technical assistance, spot welding machines, projection welding machines, nut feeders, welding equipment water coolers, welding machine maintenance repair & refurbishment, welding jigs & fixtures, resistance welding machine/equipment and training.
